The sixth book out by Handleland (not counting her stints with Harlequin) Thunder Moon followed her recipe for good reading. Unfortunately, a recipe is exactly what it has become.
We have the heroine who is stronger than she looks. The hero who is possibly the bad guy... and the bad guy who turns out to be someone the heroine thought was a friend/family.
Handleland manages little twists to keep you reading (obviously since I've gotten to book 6 or 7 now). This time around we learn more about Cherokee legends (previously she delved into Ojibwe) with the smattering of Romani and Scots... figure that one out if you can.
If you're looking for a quick read (I finished in about 2 hours) but one that you'll enjoy grab this one at the library.
Three stars. Predictable, but enjoyable.
