Now here's what I remember about The Bridge to Nowhere. If the government said, "Hey, we're going to build you a bridge". Wouldn't you say, "Great!"

That's what Palin did- and then after looking further into where the money was coming from she said, "Thanks, but no thanks" - everyone has heard that part but not what was said after that- "We'll build it ourselves." Yes, she was for the building of the bridge. She was against where the money was coming from. Related, but not the same.

(By the way- I wished Kodiak were closer to Anchorage or any other islands that WE could have gotten a bridge. But no luck- it's still a fly or boat in only kinda place.)
